The Voice of Namibia’s Pension Fund Industry

The Retirement Funds Institute of Namibia (RFIN) serves as the united voice and driving force behind the country’s pension fund industry. As a non-profit organization, we represent, support, and connect key role players across the industry; from trustees and administrators to service providers and beneficiaries; with the shared purpose of strengthening retirement outcomes for all Namibians.

To be the leading platform and representative body for Namibia’s pension fund industry: uniting stakeholders, influencing policy, and empowering professionals for the benefit of current and future generations.

Our Mission

RFIN exists to safeguard the interests of pension fund members by promoting sound governance, sharing critical industry knowledge, and creating space for professional collaboration and dialogue. Through advocacy, training, and accessible information, we empower both experts and everyday citizens to make informed decisions about their financial futures.

Yvette
Yvette Mtolo-Phiri

Vice-Chairperson

Yvette Mtolo Phiri is a Vice-Chairperson at RFIN. Her career has been dedicated to the Uranium Mining Industry, specializing in finance and project management. As a leader, Yvette is known for her strategic thinking and ability to build agile business ecosystems. Under her guidance, RFIN has seen an optimization of its operational structure and wider stakeholder engagement. Yvette is committed to promote, protect and advance RFIN members interests.

Sabrina
Sabrina Jacobs

Director

Sabrina Jacobs is a  Director of RFIN. She is a seasoned Human Resources professional and respected leader in Namibia’s retirement fund sector. Her career spans across the Retail, Hospitality and Oil & Gas sectors. As a leader, she is known for her strong governance acumen and ability to drive people-centric strategies that support organisational sustainability. Sabrina brings a wealth of expertise in labour relations, HR strategy and governance. She is committed to RFIN’s vision of advancing sound retirement fund governance and sustainability and to ensuring the continued positive impact of the retirement industry on Namibian lives.

Saima
Saima Pokolo

Director

Saima Pokolo is a Director at RFIN. Her career has been dedicated to the financial services and legal governance sector, with a focus on risk management, legal, compliance, and corporate governance. As a leader, Saima is known for her strategic thinking, legal acumen, and ability to build high-performing teams. Currently serving as the Managing Director of Alexforbes Multi-Manager Namibia (Pty) Ltd, Saima has played a pivotal role in setting up the segment of the business.

Saima is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethics and accountability, and to advancing the vision of RFIN by promoting responsible and sustainable growth within the retirement fund industry. Her dedication to excellence and her collaborative approach continue to drive meaningful impact across the sector.

Klaus
Klaus Laborn

Chairperson

Klaus is a Director and Chairperson at RFIN. He serves as an Independent Principal Officer, bringing extensive expertise in financial services and pension fund management. His core competencies include strategic leadership, executive management, and compliance and governance. Klaus’ advanced qualifications in financial planning, management, and taxation further strengthen his ability to navigate complex regulatory and operational environments.

Sakaria
Sakaria Namandje

Director

Sakaria Namandje is a Director on the RFIN Board, bringing a well-rounded perspective grounded in governance, regulatory oversight, and labour relations. He currently serves as Chairperson of the Roads Authority Employees Retirement Fund’s Board of Trustees and has extensive experience in public administration and compliance. Sakaria holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), a Bachelor of Human Resources Management, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He contributes strategic insights that promote sound governance, financial prudence, and long-term sustainability.
